Ed Pasque enters his third year at Northern Illinois University, where he currently serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academic Affairs/Acting Director of Student-Athlete Enrollment Services. Pasque had been the Associate Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance at NIU prior to his most recent appointment.

As a member of NIU Vice Provost Earl Seaver's senior management team, Pasque serves as a liaison between the Division of Academic and Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics. In this role, he monitors the admission processing of student-athletes, coordinates interactions between Registration and Record and Student Financial Aid, and serves as the interface between Student Athlete Academic Support Services and the staff in Intercollegiate Athletics.

Pasque, who serves as the Sport Athletic Director for women's soccer, cross country and track and field, is also responsible for educating the Huskie Athletics Staff regarding NCAA eligibility rules and regulations while overseeing NIU's Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate for student-athletes. He also teaches graduate classes in both sports finance and sports marketing at NIU.

Prior to joining the Huskie staff in March of 2006, Pasque had been the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Academic Services at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina from 2003 to 2006. He also taught a sports law class to sports management majors at Campbell.

Pasque earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2001. He was a member of the Berkeley International Law Journal in 1999 and was honored with the Prosser Award. Upon graduation, Pasque worked as an attorney with Foley and Lardner in Madison, Wisconsin until 2002.

The Hazel Park, Michigan native left Madison to become an Assistant Compliance Officer and CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator for the University of West Florida from July of 2002 until October of 2003, where he also taught an undergraduate course in athletics administration.

Pasque did his undergraduate work in Florida as he earned his bachelors degree in Psychology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg in 1992. While at Eckerd, he played on the basketball team and set a school-record for career three-point field goal shooting percentage. He then embarked on a four-year stint in the United States Navy as Communications Supervisor for Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eleven, based in San Diego, Calif. During his tenure, Pasque was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal for exemplary military service.

Pasque is married to Stacey and the couple has three children, Ruby (6), Oliver (4) and Hazel (2).
